Last Two Days of Japan Trip

Cold day, so Xuan was wrapped up again...

Went to Imperial Place. Was disappointed. We were not interested in seeing the garden, but tot that we could c the bridge from outside. Thus we went ahead to the location although it was not open to public on this day. We only realise that to access to the bridge, we had to go in.. Thus the trip was not fruitful, except to c the well fed pigeons, swan, etc...

Odaiba the next stop.
Active during the long train ride... as usual, no one offer seats. so we have to stand all the way while handling a very active Xuan, the heavy diaper bag n camera bag. By the time we reach, were tired out.

Weather is even colder near the sea side.... Think Xuan feel cold also... cos she willingly let us bundle her up cosily without making any fuss....

The Rainbow Bridge... Only have the day view. Suppose to go back at this location for the night view when it will be light up. But it was raining later that night.. Thus we forgo the plan n went to the nearer station to go back.

Ship?? Look so futuristic...

POsing at the iconic Rainbow Bridge & Mini Statue of Liberty.

Have our meal at the "Ramen St". Initially we tot it was a resturant with all the dishes displayed at the corridor. But it was actually a collation of 6 different stores with their best recommendation displayed at the poster, side by side... To try the different ones, we chose to eat at one store b4 goin to the second one... =p

The respective cooks with their best selling.

While waiting to be served.

Forgot to take a pic of my ramen b4 "attacking it"....

Xuan's share of ramen

GB's Ramen

The Ferris Wheel.. Didnt try to take a ride as we didnt have enough time...

Xuan playing while in the toyota showroom.

The indoor artifacts.

Our Dinner.. They actually have an electronic beeper that will sound when your food is ready. So u dun have to wait at the counter for your food after your order.

My favourite Stitch... so kawaii..... =)

Rubbing her face on the pillow durign the flight home.

Saying bye bye to the Airbus A380....

Day 7 - Ueno Zoo

Not sure wat was the reason, but it was a free entry when we arrive!! Mayb cos the panda had passed away. Thus they waived the entrance fee to attract visitors?

Although the panda that used to be the highlight of the zoo had passed away in 2009, b4 we arrive, there was a big furry figure outside one of stores.

At the store playing with the plush

Tryin out the various animal head gear. =)

Although the pic is not abvious but the weather is so BRRR... cold that Xuan nose n cheeks had turn pinkish..... It was 12degree with lot n lots of cold wind blowin at us...

Copying GB to drink from the water fountain...

We actually like this zoo better than our own country. Cos their animals are kept behind the glass. The animal "sleepin quaters/resting areas" are located at the glass side, near to visitor viewin area. Thus provide a very near view of the animals. Even the night mammals, we were able to view at quite a closed distance...

Another positive point was the feeding time. This make our long trip to Ueno worth it!! Initially, Xuan was scared n refused to feed the animal with hays.. but after few attempts of us holdin her hand to feed them, she soon start to pick the hay on the floor up n chase after the goats to feed them. =) There were also sheeps n chicken.... But Xuan only likes the goat.

After the hay feeding, we went to the small pets feedin area. Here are the rabbits, guinea pigs, rats n chickens were kept. Interestin also. they even provide a rag to place on the laps so that the crawls of the guniea pigs wont hurt the kids. =) N the animals were really very tamed. Even the rats!! Amazing!!
