Weekly Trip To Wai Gong & YaMa Place

GB's car got crash, had to send the car for repair, thus we had no transport... luckily xuan was not in the car when the accident happen. We had alrdy drop her off at inlaws place n were headin to my workplace when it occur. I got a dreadful pain at the neck for a couple of days... serve me rite for not wearin my seat belt la....

Anyway, since we had no car, had to take the public transport. But lucky for us, my parents agree to lend us dad vehicle till our car get repair. So for this trip there r only photos of goin on public transport. None on the way back... that will be when we return the car lor...

Miki is pretty scared of Xuan, cos she dosent know to treat him "nicely"... she still learnin how to pat him n not "stabbin" him.... But she like him alot. Every trip, she will definitely go out to find him.. Of cos, we only let her play with him under supervision. She will try to imitate us, like strokin his hand, shakin his hand, pattin his head, etc.. ya, she also like to pull at his little weeney tail also.... So ke lian.. juz a stub of a tail, xuan also 不放过.


After the "Dog Meetin Session", she will continue to play in the house..


Had an accident at the supermarket. Xuan struck out her hand to knock off one of the glass sauce bottles in the rack.. cause a big mess. GB went to look for the assistant to clear the mess while me n Xuan stood "guard" at the mess n try to sweep the glass shreds to a corner so that others wont step on the glass... As for the sauce..... ahemm.. i didnt have that much of tissue on hand.. so that had to wait for the cleaner... but luckily, the cleaner came quite fast to take ove the situation, n we were able to resume our grocery shoppin... sigh.... we scolded n "ignore" Xuan for quite awhile... until she also realise she did somethin that we were not happy.. when we finally carry her up from the seat in the trolley, she was all putty with us..... hard to stay angry with her antics... sigh... we have to start payin more attention with xuan during such trips le....

Oct 09 (1st update)

Hee.. since i currently using lunch hr to update the blog, stil have some time before back to work. =) Bside, predicting that i wont be able to update during the first week of Nov... y??? Cos we are going to JAPAN!!!! Finally be goin on a tour as a little family!! I still doing homework to plan the the itinery for the F&E 9 days trip. Decided against tour as we didnt want to disrupt xuan usual feedin n nappin timming. With tour, it b early n returnin to rest late for each day... with F&E, we can schedule our timmin with more flexibility... Although we wont be able to cover as much of Tokyo as with a tour... but at least, we can arrange the timmin so that the places that interest her, she be awake to play. n when the time for us to shop n look around at our stuffs, she be nappin away.... =)

Well back to the updates. =p

Begining of the month was a terrible period... Xuan keep havin fevers. once a week, n each time startin on Wed..... we suspect it the 2nd molar sproutin.... Cos she keep using her finger to rub deep inside the mouth. till her fingers become red... With the previous 16 teeths, there wasnt much problem. fever not much, think once or twice?? But of cos, the droolin n fussy eating was common.... But it the first time we encounter her having high fever for no obvious symptoms.... But luckily she was still as active as before, eating as normal, n most importantly, pooin daily.... ahahahha

The second bout of fever was longer n higher... From "black" Wed to Fri, highest temp recorded was 38.4 degree celieus. 5hrs after parcemothol, her fever will keep coming back... the three days was really a agony for us... bside worryin about her.. we had to keep using towel to lower her heat at night and distract her with silly antics to distract her of the fever patch at her forehead. During the nights, she kept wakin up in the middle of the night to play, 2am-5am!!


After the fever, she has dropped weight again. from 9.55kg to 9.30kg.. her cheeks had sunk a little. sob sob...


Went to the Mattel sale at Lok Yang. This year was much more suitable for infants than toddlers.... Thus we got only a few toys.... A magnetic drawing board for $10, 3 bubbles bottle ($2 each), Fisheprice Learning Bench $25 and Fisherprice Rhymes round abt $25.

My first try at lemon cookies... receipe needs lemon extract,, but i only had essence... in the end, the cookies turn out to have a strange taste.... strong vanila with lemon... (use ur imgaination ba..) hahaahaa
but still,, my little gal loves them.... she could finish a few of them at a time. =p Will try again next time with other flavours.. bt of cos,, have to buy the right ingredients first... =p


Finally brought Xuan to take her 2nd pneumoccal Jab. she was supposed to take 2weeks earlier... but due to her fever,, we have to postpone.... kids are supposed to have at least a wk of clean bill of health before their jab... We were gettin worried that she may not b able to hv the jab in time b4 the japan trip. but luckily, her fever has subside, n it was still in time for her to rest in SG at least two weeks before the trip.

This the dress that Xuan b wearing for her YiYi's weddin. YiYi has bought this especially for the occassion. Dosent my gal look sweet in it?? kekeke


Went to wholesale toy shop during the wkend.. xuan was attracted to this. kept walking back n climbin on top to play at the piano. seeing how much she like it,, we decided to invest on it... at least it a whole lot cheaper than the "wooden grand piano" sellin at the forum... bring a keyboard, the sound it produced, have more ranges n tempo... thus able to attract xuan attention even more...

Sep 09 Updates

So... how much does Xuan look like us...??


Invested in the HAENIM Big Blocks, cost a bomb... but this large ticket can be converted into a few scenes for different feel.. I can also create a table n chair for Xuan to sit at to do her draawing (in the future).... but i still crackin my head of where to place this at... Living room or her bedroom?? As usual, she like "taking apart" the structure.... it juz a ultra big lego to her.... on a footnote.. her current favourite toy is the Mega Blocks....

2nd Visit to the pool
After two weeks of not goin to the pool, xuan is again timid in the water... Although she did not cry loudly, but she refused to walk abt in the wading pool till very much later when we were abt to go wash up...

We went to the national library sale at expo... wat a sea of people.... although the pricin are attractive... but the crowd is a real turn off.... If u intend to buy loads of books,, guess it worth it.. but be prepared to cramped with the rest to dig for books.... here are the stuffs we bought.... some books for xuan, some parenting/informative books for us to read up...

Ever since she start using straw to drink, whenever she saw us drinkin from a straw, she will pester n keep tryin to grab the cup to drink....If we refused to give her... she will kick up a racket n start cryin.... as if we bullied her..... sigh... but we will mix the drink with water to dilute b4 lettin her drink n play with the cup... It pretty funny to c her head disappearin behind the cup when drinking.... haha


3rd Visit to the Swimmin pool (2wks later after the previous)
This time round, i even prepare her normal bath toys for her to play at the pool. GB wants to buy a floatin board and to start teachin her to swim... but i do seriously wonder if Xuan is still too young to learn swimmin via the swim board.... hmmm....

大头娃娃


First time lookin at the "sea" - East Coast. We were supposedly going for the polliwogs on 20 Sep. But due to the crowd in the evening, we decided to postpone to the next day. N since we are there.. might as well take a stroll at the beach. The wind was pretty strong then. Xuan loves the wind.. she kept sticking her head out to the "incoming" of the wind blow... remind me of a doggy puttin its head out of the window during car rides....


Finally exploring at the Polliwogs... Verdict: Not too bad. But as there is no seperation of younger toddlers to the older ones... parents should keep a look out for the younger ones incase the older toddlers came bull dozing....
